about

We are happy to share the second and final demo before the production of our full-length due early 2019.

The Red Council was inspired by revolutionary women throughout the world's history. Each lyrical and musical passage is inspired by a different comrade.

We chose to open with the rare recorded words of Annie Mae Aquash, who for her fearless and loving activism in the First Nations community, was martyred. The cover art highlights the warriors in South Asia who continue to fight for liberation from capitalism and patriarchy.

lyrics

Send them to hell
This is the Council of Resistance

Women in arms, against occupying forces
Protecting the hunted from those who coerced them
Organizing masses, unionizing workers,
Shielding towns from murderers and corrupters

They came upon us with torches
They tore our lives down
They watch in silence, in white, in blue

There is a weight on my shoulders
They’re creeping into the woods
And when they approach us
A bullet into their skulls

Send them to hell
Crush their skulls
Let them hang from the trees
Send them to hell

A woman's place
Is in the revolution
Your place is by her side
